For the mower deck gearbox drive assembly, a production design change is being phased in, using threaded studs and o-ring seals to increase security of the assembly and reduce the possibility of oil leaks.
The new parts will retrofit on almost all earlier gear-driven decks as an upgrade improvement. Also, a new gearbox assembly cover design completely encloses the gearbox assembly and mounts directly on the deck housing to reduce noise and vibration and to keep the gearbox area cleaner.
