Factory Day is an opportunity for owners and enthusiasts to gather at the Walker Manufacturing Factory in Fort Collins, CO for a day of activities, fellowship, and fun. Guests will enjoy a free event offering opportunities to see the current models, tour the factory and grounds, interact with those who create and build the Walker Mower, and more. See a full list of activities below.

9:00 am - 1:30 pm: Qualifying
1:45 pm - 2:15 pm: Semi-Finals
2:25 pm - 2:45 pm: Finals

Details

HOURS

  • 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.
  • The Walker Team is excited to see you and is working very hard to prepare for your visit. In order to have the best experience, please arrive no earlier than 9:00 am. As a reminder, all activities will close down at 3:00 pm.

WEATHER

  • Factory Day is primarily an outdoor event.
  • While the weather is generally pleasant in September, please bring sunscreen and a hat. The Colorado sun is no joke!
  • Water, shade, and resting places will be available for all guests throughout the day.

AMMENITIES

  • Free lunch will be provided for all who submit an RSVP registration.
  • Lunch hours are from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm.
  • Free coffee, drinks, kettle corn, and ice cream will be available throughout the day.

PARKING

  • When you arrive, please use the main Walker Entrance off Harmony Road, east of I-25.
  • Need driving directions? CLICK HERE
  • Parking attendants will direct you.
  • If you have a handicap placard or have questions, please let a parking attendant know.
  • For those who need a little extra help walking from the parking area, courtesy carts will be available to help shuttle to the Welcome Tent.

END OF DAY EXIT

  • Traffic will not be monitored at the end of the day.
  • Please exit slowly and carefully.

Activities

Dodge City Park Interactive

Guests will have an opportunity to operate Walker equipment in and around Dodge City Park. Must have a driver's license to operate the equipment.

Obstacle Course

A single-day “World Championship” will be held during the event. Open qualifying will take place in the morning with the finals taking place in the afternoon. Prizes will be awarded.

Walker Championship Obstacle Course

Rules for Contestants

  • Must have signed Participant Liability Waiver
  • Must be wearing a Walker Rider wristband
  • Must have a driver's license or permit in order to operate a machine

Rules for the Course

  • Qualifying runs limited to 3 per participant
  • The clock starts when the tractor crosses the start line
  • The clock stops when the tractor crosses the finish line
  • Operator must follow the indicated course path
  • Operator must collect the flags in the correct sequence
  • Time out is called only in case of a safety emergency
  • Out of control operators will not be allowed to finish the course
  • Operator times will be posted on the displays
  • All decisions made by course judges are final

Penalties

  • Moving any block or structure - 2 Seconds
  • Knocking over a tennis ball - 2 Seconds
  • Failure to return a flag - 5 Seconds
  • Missing a course objective - 5 Seconds
  • Hitting a head banger - 5 Seconds
  • Failure to follow indicated course path - Disqualified
